No.

Yes.
Is my life better now than before?
Yes, definitely.
Is there anything I miss from my previous career?
Yes, I do miss many of the people I worked with over the years that I was there. Though the bureaucracy was stifling, I was always able to find dedicated, intelligent people and will miss working with them.
